Hosted inter-school English declamation contest under the aegis of Delhi Schools Literacy Project (DSLP) on Sep 17. Dr Rita Malhotra, Associate Professor Mathematics, Kamla Nehru College, DU was the chief guest. Kaveri Ganguli was the guest of honour. The topics of the declamation were ‘Literacy is the bridge from misery to hope’, ‘Children learn more from what you are that what you teach’ and ‘Whatever enlarges hope will also exalt courage’. Schools from South East zone took part in it. Anupriya Jain (DPS R K Puram), Sidharth Mehra (Springdales, Dhaula Kuan) and Aditya Parvar (Kalka Public School) stood first, second and third respectively. Cultural fiesta organised on the day, added delight to the event. Gunjan Arora (XIIA) won the second prize in the interschool English declamation (North West zone) held at Apeejay School, Pitampura. In the inter-school story writing competition in junior category, Pavni Malhotra (VII-B) won the second position. The school choir group bagged the third winning position in the interschool song competition, South East Zone held at Sadhu Vaswani School, R K Puram.
